Emily Trenn

Assistant Coach

I just finished up my senior year of college at UW-Whitewater, with one year left to go. I am majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in ESL. I just completed my 4th year as a collegiate swimmer and am officially a "swammer" after 17 years of competitive swimming. I swam for Bartlett Barracudas for many years as well as Bartlett Electrix Swim Team (BEST) and a year and a half on Academy Bullets. This is my second year coaching for the Barracudas. I have taught swim lesson at Bartlett Park District for 5 years. Goals for this season: 1. To have fun 2. To help swimmers improve and 3. To watch swimmers swim FAST! Fun fact: I LOVE Dunkin' coffee and my favorite color is purple.

“So many people along the way, whatever it is you aspire to do, will tell you it can’t be done. But all it takes is imagination. You dream. You plan. You reach. There will be obstacles. There will be doubters. There will be mistakes. But with hard work, with belief, with confidence and trust in yourself and those around you, there are no limits.” ~ Michael Phelps

Grant Gilchrist

Grant swam for the Barracudas throughout his swimming career and finished four years of swimming at Truman State University before graduating last spring. Grant is returning for his second summer as assistant coach. He is also a coach for the Academy Bullets for two years and is a swim instructor for the park district for seven years. Grant is looking forward to working with all the returning swimmers and is excited about meeting the new team member. He believes this team is a great way to have fun, make friends, and build a passion for swimming.

“Wins and losses come a dime a dozen. But effort, nobody can judge effort. Because effort is between you and you. Effort ain’t got nothing to do with nobody else.” ~Ray Lewis
